PM Modi Raises Questions on Trend of Wealthy Indians Marrying Abroad

Nowadays, it's considered fashionable and opulent for wealthy individuals to get married abroad.

Of course, he is fair and correct in the context of our economy.

In India, most marriages take place between November and February, thus you could argue that marriage is a seasonal event here.

When an Indian gets married, it indicates that he will spend more money, buy more things, and create jobs and businesses as a result, boosting the economy.

On the other hand, if an Indian marries overseas, all of his costs and business will be transferred to the foreign market. 

You may imply that you would rather purchase a product from another person's store than from your own. Even though buying from someone else's store costs more, you still prefer to do so.

Therefore, we won't question anyone; instead, we'll just strive to comprehend how it affects our economy.

Predicated on a Confederation of All India Traders survey (CAIT). There will be 3.5 million marriages in the country during the course of these 23 days this year, from November 23 to December 15. Purchases and services linked to weddings are estimated to be around 4.25 trillion.

i) Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone 

The first movie that Ranveer and Deepika worked on together, "Film Ram-Leela," came out on November 15, 2013, and that was when their romance started. They held their marriage ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, on November 14 and 15, 2018.

Scoop Whoop reported that Deepika and Ranveer's wedding at that location in Lake Como cost 77 crore. The famous Villa del Balbianello, where a single room cost 33,000 per day, was the place where their guests stayed.

ii)  Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

On December 11, 2017, in Tuscany, Italy, Indian cricket player Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot.

Their wedding reportedly cost almost Rs. 100 crores.
